Chasing Ghosts is back
The Chasing Ghosts Challenge is back. It will take place on the first night, this time on the big Bright Pixel stage, at 9pm.
Imagine two players, side by side, playing a classic arcade game, using professional arcade controllers, fighting for the best score, only to keep climbing their way into the great final.
It will fun for the public too. We will screencast both player’s gameplay on the big screen so you can feel the nerve wrecking excitement as if you were in control yourself.
Now, which games this time? Mr. Paulo Laureano, our Arcade Master chose Popeye and Dig Dug (rev 2).
Qualifiers
If you want to be part of the tournament, then you need to qualify before Pixels Camp and prove you’re worthy to participate. Here’s what you need to do.
- Pick Popeye or Dig Dug.
- Make the best score you can.
- Pick your smartphone, take a picture of you next to the high-score. Make sure the picture is crystal clear.
- Post in on Twitter with the hashtags #chasingghosts #pixelscamp
- We will acknowledge your post and invite you to join us.
- Be there Thursday, the 28th, at 9pm, Bright Pixel stage, and take part of the fun.
Rules
- Do not cheat. It’s not fun. Really.
- You can only use one credit.
- If you’re using emulators, then all settings must be standard and you must use the original arcade ROMs only, no variants or clones. The ROM files are: popeye.zip, digdug.zip.
- Important note: you need to download the namco51.zip and namco53.zip ROMs and put them in the same directory as digdug.zip for Dig Dug to work. Thanks for tip @rosecg.
